If you buy a new iPad, drains free iWork, iPhoto, and iMovie

By vishav, September 30, 2013

If you buy a new iPad, from September you can download the applications of the iWork suite, as well as iPhoto and iMovie. Here’s how.

The App Store should ask to download all the free apps mentioned, the first time you launch the store, of course, if it meets all eligibility requirements.

Here’s what to do:

1. Launch the App Store from your iPhone or iPad

2. Click on “Download” from the pop-up that opens the first time you launch the store

3. Enter the password, if required

Now will start the download of the app in the iWork suite, iPhoto and iMovie.

If, however, you want to perform a manual download, maybe because we do not need all five applications, or if for some reason the popup did not appear the first time that we launched the App Store, you  can manually download the app :

1. Launch the App Store from the Home screen of the iPhone or iPad

2. From the “First Floor” Featured tab, click on the banner “You’re new on the App Store?”, Get off at the bottom and click on “Apple’s App”.

3. Now you will see the screen with all the applications created by Apple, including those offered free of charge

4. Alternatively, you can perform a manual search of iPhoto, iMovie, Numbers, Pages and Keynote.

And if the app does not appear as free?

If the word “Free” appears in the price next to each app, then your iPhone or iPad does not meet the requirements for promotion, which are as follows:

1. The device must have been purchased after September 1, 2013

2. The device must be installed iOS 7

3. Remember that Garageband is not included in the offer
