As you know, smartphone cameras are no slouches these days. And, yeah, most of the time, pictures just stay on your devices, if you want to look at them. But, chances are you have a few old photo frames laying around, and more than a few relatives who donât really do the whole computer thing. If thatâs the case, thereâs a new way to turn your smartphone pictures into professional prints â" the FreePrints app.
Â
The app, which is being published by PhotoAffections, allows you to upload photos from your smartphone or computer and have professional prints mailed to you. You can get up to 85 4Ã6 prints sent to you for free (almost for free, weâll get to that later), but, if you want, you can also order prints of other sizes, like 5Ã5 or 16Ã20. Besides uploading from your phoneâs gallery, you can also upload from Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, and Picasa, and all photos you upload to the app are stored on PhotoAffections, so theyâre there for later if you quickly want to use them to order custom greeting cards or smartphone cases, among other things.
FreePrints isnât totally free [1] â" you will need to pay a shipping fee, which will be anywhere between $1.99 and $9.99. Other than that, you can take advantage of 85 free 4Ã6 prints to do with as you please. The app itself is also free, and is available for iOS [2] , Android, Windows Phone 8, and Windows 8.
