eFax vs RingCentral Fax

Choosing a good service is essential to make the most out of email faxing, but with so many great alternatives in the market, it’s good to see how they fare against each other. In this review, we will take a look at eFax vs RingCentral Fax, two of the leading companies in the field of digital faxing, both with interesting features worth checking out.

Both of these companies are excellent choices of fax services, so choosing one over the other is not real bad.  We’ve kept things from our perspective but it is always a good idea to test drive these services and come up with your own conclusions.  Well, without much further ado, let’s start!

As you can see, eFax has plenty of features designed to make online faxing easier.  It is one of the few services that has global presence and toll-free numbers in various countries.  Of special notice their iPhone/Android app which has become with recent updates the best-working fax app on the marketplace, and the best of all is that it is free to download and use if you have an eFax account. This app is the only one in the market that lets you compose and send faxes using your smartphone’s camera.

PRICE

eFax. eFax now offers one plan, the eFax Plus. It allows you to send 150 pages and receive 150 pages each month; this includes your personal fax number. The monthly cost is $12.95.

If you want to send more pages you will need to pay 10 cents per page.

RingCentral Fax. This company actually offers 3 plans. They have the same features but only vary in the amount of pages you can fax per month (represented by the numbers in the plan):

  • Fax 500 (500 pages) â€" $9.99, 5.9 cents per additional page
  • Fax 1000 (1000 pages) â€" $17.99, 4.9 cents per additional page
  • Fax 2500 (2500 pages) â€" $49.99, 3.9 cents per additional page

They also offer a corporate fax solution for big companies.

Both eFax and RingCentral have huge savings if you pay annually instead of monthly.

VERDICT

Both of these companies offer a safe and reliable way to send and receive faxes over Internet.  eFax has a slightly better set of features, and if you fax on the go you’ll find the eFax iPhone app to be invaluable.  It is also a great alternative if you are outside USA and want to have a local fax number. However at $12.99 it is higher priced than the market average, it is an affordable price though.

RingCentral doesn’t lack features and it is very easy to sue even if you are a beginner.  Their iPhone app doesn’t let you send faxes but it does allow you to receive instant notifications and read faxes on the go.  Unfortunately if you are outside US, Canada or the UK you won’t find coverage by this company. It has a better price than eFax though and has more flexibility.
