If you have friends or family members who still use a BlackBerry phone, youâll be happy to know that BlackBerry Messenger â" earlier exclusive to BlackBerry phones â" is now available for iOS and Android devices.
Back in May, BlackBerry had announced plans to release BBM  to other platforms such as iOS and Android in an attempt to make the service an âan independent messaging solution.â
After sending out beta invites last month , it appears that BBM is finally ready for public consumption, as the app rolls out throughout the world, starting with the Asia-Pacific region. Weâve confirmed that it is available in Australia [1] , New Zealand [2] , Japan [3] , Singapore [4] App Stores. Hereâs the description for the app:

With so many third-party messaging apps out there, as well as Appleâs own iMessage baked right into iOS, weâre not sure how many of you would want to use this as your main messaging app, but this will be great for folks who have BlackBerry users amongst their family and friend circle.
