Apple TV updated with Major League Soccer and Disney Junior Channels

The Apple TV just keeps getting better and better. Earlier this week, Apple detailed how you can setup the set top box merely by touching the Apple TV with your iOS device. Today, Apple has added two new channels to the Apple TV lineup that’ll appeal to sports fans and kids alike.

Sports fans will appreciate the new Major League Soccer (MLS) channel that’ll bring all the best soccer action right to your living room. You can get game scores, team standings and highlight videos for free. Subscribers ($24.99 for a season) can get live video of games on the Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.

The Disney Junior channel is for the wee folk who love Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and the rest of the gang at Disney. It isn’t as open as it requires authentication from your cable provider. If you cable company doesn’t offer Disney Junior then you are out of luck.

These two channel are among many new channels Apple has added in recent months. Other new offerings include WatchESPN, HBO GO, Sky News, Crunchyroll, Quello Vevo, the Smithsonian, Disney Channel and Disney XD.
