Deus Ex fans will be happy to hear that Square Enix and its development subsidiary Eidos Montreal have just announced [1]  that the latest iteration of the popular franchise, âDeus Ex: The Fall,â will be arriving in the App Store this Thursday, July 11.
The game will launch exclusively on the iPhone and iPad, and its story line will take place after âDeux Ex: The Icarus Effectâ novel, which acted as a prequel to the nanopunk/cyberpunk franchise. And yes, we have a gameplay trailer after the foldâ¦
To go along with the launch announcement, Eidos Montreal is giving away free wallpapers and ringtones to celebrate the Deus Ex franchises âfirst ever outing on mobile devices.â And it says itâll land on iOS first, but an Android version is coming.
The franchise has received universal critical and industry acclaim over the years, including being named the âBest PC Game of All Timeâ in PC Gamerâs Top 100 Games. And last year, Deus Ex: Human Revolution [2]  for Mac won an Apple Design Award .
For those interested, weâll let you know as soon as Deus Ex: The Fall becomes available in the App Store this Thursday. It looks like a solid game, and is expected to feature a price tag of $6.99.
So, whoâs excited?
