In case you missed it , Apple is celebrating five years of the App Store on Wednesday. In anticipation of the big June 10 anniversary, the company has decided to treat its loyal users to an unexpected gift by discounting a bunch of premium apps and games on the App Store.
Now’s the perfect time to get a number of games for free, such as Infinity Blade II, Where’s My Water?, Badland and Tiny Wings, to name a few.
If you’re not much of a gamer, how about the excellent journaling app Day One, premium DJing software DJ Traktor for iPad and Barefoot World Atlas, all free for a limited time? Go past the fold for the full breakdown.
The Verge [1] spotted a host of apps and games are now free to download for both the iPhone and iPad. Here’s a list of warez included in the promo:

As The Verge noted, “none of these apps have ever been free on the App Store before, and many have commanded relatively high prices until nowâ€.
Traktor DJ, for instance, is normally $19.99.
Most of the discounted apps and games are universal so they run natively on your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad gadgets.
With savings ranging anywhere from 9 9cents to as much as $19.99, you shouldn’t hesitate so grab these freebies now and liven up your Home screen with some high-quality apps and games.
