There are 2 ways to transfer music between iPhone and Android
Transfer music between iPhone and Android with Bump [1]
Although the iPhone has built-in Bluetooth technology, wireless file transfer capabilities are limited by its operating system. To wirelessly transfer file between an iPhone and an Android device, both devices must be running the same third-party Bluetooth file transfer application. As of October 2011, Bump is the only Bluetooth file transfer application available for both the iPhone and Android handsets. You can install the free Bump app on both devices to share music files through a Bluetooth connection.
Step 1: Launch the Bump app on both iPhone and Android phone.
Step 2: Select what you want to share via Bump by tapping the icon on the main screen of the app, for example, to share music between iPhone and Android phone, you can click the âMusicâ icon.
Step 3: Click the â+ Add musicâ button to add the specific music files you want to transfer from the list of available files on the senderâs handset.
Step 4: Place the two handsets together within one or two feet of each other, shake both devices. Or the sender and receiver can each hold a handset in his fist, then both bump fists together gently. This initiates the transfer and allows the devices to detect each other through Bluetooth.
Step 5: Hit the âAcceptâ button on the receiverâs handset to receive the music file and the transfer process will start as soon as the connection is accepted.
Limitation of Bump: One of the great limitations of the Bump application is the platform. Currently, Bumpâs platforms are only accessible to iPhone and Android users.
