Yahoo! launched its new Weather app for iPhone a few weeks ago, and itâs quite possibly one of the prettiest weather apps youâll find in the App Store. Itâs received a ton of praise for its design, which combines gorgeous Flickr photos with clean, minimalist graphics.
If you instantly made it your new weather app â" just like we did â" then youâll be pleased to know you can know make it your default weather app on iPhone with a new jailbreak tweak called âYahooWeatherisBetter.â
With the Yahoo! Weather app set as default, itâll launch automatically â" in place of Appleâs built-in Weather app â" when you tap the weather widget inside Notification Center. Thereâs also an option to reroute the stock Weather icon, so if you choose to, you can launch Yahoo! Weather by tapping Appleâs Weather icon.
There is one caveat, however. The tweak doesnât launch the Yahoo! Weather app when you access weather information using Siri, so youâll have to stick to Appleâs own Weather app there. Weâre hoping, however, that a feature update brings this functionality.
YahooWeatherisBetter is completely free, and itâs available to download now from Cydiaâs BigBoss repository.
