easyJet Tests Mobile Boarding Passes

easyJet, Europe’s second largest low-cost carrier, is testing mobile boarding passes at six airports [1] â€" London Stansted, London Southend, Manchester, Edinburgh, Amsterdam and Nice (France).

easyJet’s free app for iPhone and Android phones enables passengers to download and store their mobile boarding passes on their phones. Passengers traveling from these six airports can also check-in in less than 10 seconds using the app.

The boarding passes are stored offline after the initial download and hence no network coverage or WiFi is required at the time of boarding. The iPhone version of the easyJet app also supports Apple’s Passbook functionality allowing users to easily access multiple boarding passes.

Boarding passes can be downloaded from 30 days to two hours before the scheduled flight departure time.

The easyJet app is available at Google Play and Apple iTunes [2] [3]
