Playboy has unveiled their new iPhone app, but for those looking for bare-all bunnies, you better stick to your internet browser.
Apple's rules regarding adult content prohibit the Playboy app from showing scantily-clad women, but the first issue of the subscription-only app offers plenty for men looking for digital lifestyle material. Included in issue one are a Q&A with "Girls" Lena Dunham, an interview with New York City chef Eddie Huang and a section for tips on travel, food, drink, cars, gear, and style.
For those looking for a little more skin, the app includes exclusives of "breathtaking beauties," that feature returning Playmates, renowned photographers, and winners of the magazine's ongoing social media competition.
"As the on-the-go extension of the Playboy brand, our new app brings the best of Playboy with original, thought-provoking and enticing bite-sized content that captures our design-driven and discernible style," CEO Scott Flanders said in a statement. "We've rebuilt Playboy for iPhone from the ground up to attract the new generation of Gen Y fans who enjoy the indulgences of the artisanal good life and modern culture."
Playboy is offering three subscription options that include a monthly subscription costing $1.99, a six-month $10.99 option or an annual choice for $19.99.
According to a spokeswoman, Playboy said the digital team "was creatively inspired to reinvent the Playboy aesthetic and showcase what the modern Playboy brand is all about."
