Bring Galaxy S4 style Smart Pause feature to your iPhone with Lookaway Player app

So you watched Samsung’s Galaxy S4 event and you wished that your iPhone could use the “Smart Pause” feature…well, now it can (sort of). A new application by the name of “LookAway Player” features eye-tracking capabilities that allow it to do exactly what “Smart Pause” offers in the GS4. The application, if you were wondering, is currently available for free in the App Store right here: LookAway Player [1] . I like the idea of Smart Pause, and this shows that it isn’t that hard for a developer (even of a 3rd party) to develop it for iOS.

For those of you that have read through this wondering “What in the world is Smart Pause?”, it simply is a feature that, when watching a video, the front facing camera of the device tracks your eyes. When you look away from the screen, the video, as if by magic, pauses on its own. That is the technology at play here.

What do you think? Want Apple to implement this? Or is this feature just a gimmick? Let us know in the comments, or tweet me @TiP_Kyle [2] .
