Wunderlist 2âs newly updated interface makes it easier to manage and share to-do lists, and itâs completely free to download on all device platforms.
Wunderlist 2 is a brand new version of the original Wunderlist app. With more features than before and a completely redesigned interface, itâs hard to pass up on this free to-do app.
To get started, users can either sign up, log in or try it out before committing to using the app. Wunderlist 2 focuses on nothing but lists. There is a sidebar area where users can add lists that they need to stay organized. Whatâs even better than having a list is collaborating it with friends and colleagues. The app makes it easy to search through contacts, Facebook friends and email addresses to invite friends.
Once a list is created, itâs then time to add to-do items. After adding an item, more details can be entered like setting a due date and a reminder, adding a subtask, or even inputting additional notes.
There are plenty of ways to customize lists to match them to specific needs. For instance, users can determine if new items go to the bottom or top of the list, notification and item completion sounds can be turned on or off, recurring and subtasks are easy to manage, and lists can be edited or deleted easily at any time. Along with desktop versions, thereâs also now a Chrome browser extension.
Wunderlist 2âs new design not only makes the app look more elegant, but it also makes it easier to use. Thereâs newly added support for retina display, and everything is also a lot more organized thanks to the smart lists feature that gets rid of visible filters and hides lists if nothing needs to be seen. Also, donât worry if the wood grain background looks boring because it can be changed thanks to a creative new background collection.
With all that being said, thereâs still room for improvement. For instance, it would be great if there was a way to remove completed tasks officially without having to look at them with a line streaked through and assigning priorities to specific to-dos could improve its functionality. Also, thereâs no landscape support and there are still a few bugs that need polished. It seems that maybe more attention was spent on making the app look prettier than more useful so hopefully future updates help move it into the same playing field as its competitors. Especially since itâs been a year since itâs had a total revamp.
Overall, itâs the perfect free app for anyone who needs a good to-do list manager. Whether itâs used to organize solo tasks, plan family vacations, create shopping lists or keep track of work goals, itâs worth exploring. Iâll be keeping Wunderlist 2 on the home screen for a while and canât wait to check out the desktop version to keep everything synced between devices.
