Earlier Microsoft has cleared its intentions of retiring its Windows Live Messenger service in early 2013 to favor Skype, which has been acquired by it a year or more ago. It has also announced about Microsoft account integration on Skype earlier, Now it has launched a new updated version of the Skype App for iOS devices which supports Microsoft Accounts.
The new version of Skype for iOS updated on iTunes is Skype Version 4.2.1. This new updated version of Skype allows users to sign in via their Microsoft Account, i.e iOS users with this new updated Skype App having accounts on Hotmail, Outlook or Windows Live Messenger which is on the Doors of Shut-down, can use their above account to sign into Skype.
The Skype Version updated features allows the users to create a new Microsoft Account with the app. Besides the Microsoft Account integration, this new updated version of Skype app features new instant message edit feature via tapping and holding the messages you want to edit. This new updated app also features choosing emoticons for IM and allows the user with an option to create animated emoticon using iOS devices with Retina Scan. This new updated version of Skype allows the user to edit saved phone numbers from the dial-pad.
The Skype Version 4.2.1 is available for free download on Appleâs iTunes website and is compatible with iOS 4.3 or Later. This new version of Skype is specially optimized for the latest Appleâs iPhone, iPhone 5.
