New York & New Jersey: Charge Your Phones for Free Here

Nobody should have to  use a pay phone , natural disaster or no natural disaster. So if your gadgets are out of juice after Sandy, here’s a tiny bit of good news: free charging is coming to you, NYC and Jersey.

Duracell, that company you used to buy batteries from, is sending out two giant charging trucks, allowing you to power up your mobile devices and use free computer terminals if you’re still out of Wi-Fi. The company sent us the details:

Tomorrow, the Duracell Power Forward Community Center will be in [Lower Manhattan’s] Battery Park. Right now they are setting up at Battery Place and Little West St. Open hours as of now are 9am-6pm.
The Rapid Responder will be in New Jersey, most likely in the Little Ferry area. We’ll know more in the morning. People can follow us on Facebook.com/Duracell [1]  and @Duracell [2]  on Twitter for our most updated info.

So go forth, and hope nobody steals that truck.
