It is truly the age of wireless connectivity. Epson has just released a free iPhone and iPod Touch app thatâs going to change the way we create and perform presentation. This is called Epson iProjection app .
How Do You Make It Work?
The concept may be complex, but the actual execution isnât. There are only a few steps involved:
- Set up your projector. Donât forget to properly label the network where it is in.
- Download the app in your mobile phone.
- Turn on the iPhone device.
- Connect the device to the network of your projector.
- Open the downloaded app. If you have properly connected the phone to the projectorâs network, you should be able to see the network in your appâs list.
- Choose the name of the network or projector.
- Select the file you wish to project.
- You can now begin your presentation.
Benefits of This Application
1. You can skip the bulk. One of the foremost reasons for wireless projection application is to greatly reduce the number of physical files you have to carry around before, during, and after the presentation. After all, theyâre such a hassle. Plus, with so many things to think about, youâre bound to miss one or two. The worst is they are the most important.
2. You can store the files in Google Drive or Dropbox. If you worry your files are going to eat a huge amount of iPhone space (and thereâs no more room for additional iPhone apps ), then you should take comfort in the fact you can actually store all your files in Google Drive or Dropbox, which have huge allotted FREE space, and then just download them whenever necessary. If youâre done with the presentation, you can automatically delete them from the phone, and you donât have to lose any one of them in your cloud drive.
3. It works across all industries. It doesnât matter where you are or what job youâre in. At some point, youâll be asked to make a presentation. The app doesnât just promote wireless projection, but it also ensures you can make your presentation anywhere in the room. You can also have full control over the projector.
Important Things to Remember
1. The app is completely for freeâ"right nowâ"but the projector isnât. To find out which projector is compatible with your iPhone device, use this link [1] :
2. It supports a wide variety of formats such as the following: PowerPoint, Word documents, Excel, Keynote, Adobe PDF, PNG, TIFF, and JPG. So far, thereâs no proof it can play videos from your phone to the projector. Keep in mind too that the newer the version of the file, the better.
3. The wireless app cannot also handle or play any kind of animation. Thus, if you have them in your Keynote or Powerpoint presentation, the screen may reveal an error.
4. See to it that the networks of your projector and iPhone are the same.
5. You can have as many projectors as you like. Nevertheless, always keep in mind the device should be connected only to the compatible projectors.
