Talking Ted | Great Apps Review

  • User Interface
  • Re-use Value

Ted just came to movies last Friday, as well as to mobile devices. The first motion picture from Seeth MacFarlane, the creator of Family Guy is based on a teddy bear, called Ted. The creators are supporting the promotion of the movie with a special app which is downloaded from App Store, as well as Google’s Play Store.

The app, dubbed as Talking Ted, is so basic, and offers features similar to other animation applications. There are some actions defined by the app producers. By tapping those actions, you can make Ted behave or talk. Tapping to different and reasonable actions consecutively can produce different types of scenarios which you can share with your friends. There are Ted smoking, drinking beer, saying some words like “I love you”, “Can you e-mail me?”. These tools are just enough to make funny videos with Ted in action. After making your scenario ready, tap the icon at the upper left corner, and start to record your movie.

When the movie finishes, you will see some buttons just below the screen. You can save the movie to your camera roll, upload to YouTube, share on Twitter and Facebook, or e-mail to your friends. That’s all, and very easy.

The app is free on App Store, and can be downloaded to both iPhone and iPad. Also, if you want to get more about Ted, you can pay a visit to its web site Tedisreal.com [1] .
