Today’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch apps for free daily include a train track puzzle game, offline world maps app, countdown & reminder app, and a side scrolling shooter. A number of apps drop from paid to free on a daily basis, and we pick the top four everyday, as many of the others aren’t worth your time even for free. Everyday we try to pick apps that are worth spending money on, but are now free to download, and here they are.
Train Conductor ($0.99 -> Free, Universal) [1] : An action packed puzzle game with a set of train tracks spanning horizontally across the screen. You need to direct the trains across the tracks by drawing extensions to move trains between the rows to avoid one another.
City Maps 2Go ($0.99 -> Free, Universal) [2] : A deluxe map app with 7,800 maps worldwide that are selectively available for downloading for offline viewing later. There are also deluxe zoom options, Wikipedia articles for points of interest, and an easy search and sort system for various types of locations.
Pronto ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone) [3] : A countdown app that lets you add events and to-do items to countdown to, and be reminded about. There’s a very crisp and clean interface with the ability to group items, add sub-items, and quickly enter and view everything.
Sketchman ($0.99 -> Free, iPhone) [4] : A side scrolling shooter where you play in a sketch filled world. There’s intricate doodle art as you jump, slide, and shoot through obstacles and enemies with plenty of missions along the way.
Sketchman HD ($2.99 -> Free, iPad) [5] : The iPad version.
