RustyBrick, Inc. today announced a new iPhone app designed to help Jewish iPhone users remove and dispose of Chametz, leavened products that are forbidden to be consumed on the Jewish holiday of Passover, before the Passover holiday. This iPhone App is available for iOS download on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad and is named No Chametz.
The app contains three primary functions:
Selling of Chametz
Searching for Chametz
Destroying Chametz
Each section of the app gives you the traditional orthodox Jewish blessings made during the selling, searching and destroying processes. They also contain applicable times based on your GPS location for when you can search for the Chametz, stop eating the Chametz and burning the Chametz. The app contain Jewish laws related to these actives, by Rabbi Elozor Barclay & Rabbi Yirzchok Jaeger.
The app helps you search for Chametz, the bedikat chametz, by giving you the halakhah, brachas zmanim, a checklist builder and a flash light. It also helps you destroy the chametz with the Bittul and Bi’ur with halakhah, brachas and zmanim for that process. Finally, it helps you sell, Mechirah, the chametz with zmnaim, halacha and a link to sell it to an organization.
