Cydia App. Safari Download Enabler [iPhone/iPad-DEB/Source]

Cydia App. Safari Download Enabler [iPhone/iPad-DEB/Source]

Enables native downloading in Safari on iOS 5. Requires a separate application (like iFile or GoodReader) capable of opening arbitrary files.

This replaces the “Add to Reading List” button in Safari’s context menu with a button to download the link in a new window. It also disables automatic playback of media URLs so that the user can choose to download them instead (hold the play button to show the menu).

Bonus: If you use GoodReader and are comfortable with the command line, there’s a trick to allow GoodReader access to the entire filesystem (or however much of it you choose) and the ability to open files of any type, while still keeping all its configuration and application-specific files in Apple’s “sandbox”.
