Role Play free iPhone app review

Role Play : 4 Out of 5

Okay, so I’ve downloaded quite a few camera type games before; you know the ones I’m talking about, where you make your face fat or older than you really are, they’re fun and they’re cute and they hold my attention for, oh, about three pictures! This one is along the same lines but totally cute and addictive!

You start by loading the app, duh, right? From there you’re going to select what you want to be. You can select princess or pirate to start with and then go from there. Those two roles are free but for a small in-app purchase you can become a blond, a cat, clown or Cleopatra. There are even more roles to choose from than that such as Maria Antionette and so on. Who doesn’t want to look like they’re from the 1770’s?

Once you’ve taken the daunting task of choosing who you’d like to be it’s time to get started. From there you’ll either take a new picture or you’ll create one from the photo gallery. If you’re going to be taking a new one it’s a great idea to take it of just your face or someone else’s since that’s what you’re going to be working with. You will see that you’ll need to try and line the photo settings up with your face from this mode; you don’t have to be perfect just get as close as you possibly can.

If you’re selecting one from the camera role then you’ll want to try and find a good facial photo as those work best. You will then need to make adjustments to the markers on the page. You will do the outer portion of the face, the eyes and the eyebrows as well as the nose and the mouth.

Once you have that done it will say Making Up… This is where the masterpiece begins. You will see your face inside the photo of the princess or the pirate and if you were smart enough to buy more roles then you can be a cat or a clown! Let’s face it, you’re already a clown.

This one is great for all ages especially for the kiddos. My nephew loves it and he loves trying to make new and fun characters out of his face and his sisters. Total hit with this one. It’s also very easy to use. You don’t need long endless pages of tutorials in order to get a great picture, you’ll only need a few good tips to get you started. Make sure you’re taking a picture of the face mostly. Try to eliminate as much background as you can. Try also to take it as close up as possible. Lining it up with the markers on the screen is a good idea but you don’t have to worry about getting it absolutely perfect!

If you haven’t used an app like this then you have no idea what you’re missing it’s totally fun, entertaining and creative. You can share your photos with your friends and family or you can post them to Twitter or Facebook! This is a must have for anyone who loves to create fun and interesting photos with their already existent ones.
