Have a new e-reader or tablet?Want to download some free ebooks? If you love reading -whether its for learning purposes or entertainment, there are tons of ebooks on the internet for you to read of pretty much all genres such as fiction, horror, fantasy, romance, classics, suspense, drama or nonfiction books that are instructional, biographies, or even history -something for most any reader. Digital books have been around for a long time, but with the new travel friendly ebook readers they have become immensely popular. Oddly enough, for the longest time, I’ve heard people say that technology was reducing the number of people that read for entertainment -which couldn’t be farther from the truth as with such digital convenience the number of readers and authors have increased dramatically in the last decade or so, not to mention the digital format is far more ecologically friendly. None the less, not only will I outline in this article how to find ebooks for free to download, but also I threw in tons of links to help get you started in finding

Ebooks, like their hard-copy counterparts, can be distributed for a fee or at no cost. You’ll find many commercial digital bookstores online, such as the Amazon Kindle Store or Apple’s iBookstore, but you’ll also run across many legal free ways to read digital books.

Project Gutenberg: it gives you the chance to download over 30,000 free ebooks to read on your PC, iPhone, Kindle, Sony Reader or other portable device.The books are free in the United States because their copyright has expired. They may not be free in other countries,so you must check the copyright laws of the country before downloading or redistributing these ebooks. first, click on the link Project Gutenberg in the resource section or just google for Project Gutenberg. Once you get on the page you have a lot of search options. You can either browse by author or by title or just look into their catalog. They also have a list of the most downloaded books.
Once you found the eBook you want to download, just click the title and a new page will open. Here you have a lot of options for download, too, different formats. Read the book online if you don’t want to download it to a mobile device. Hit the Recent Books link and you can find books in many other languages, not only English.

Google Books: Similar to Project Gutenberg, Google Books is digitizing a variety of works, many of which are available for free and are readable online in a Web browser or on assorted popular e-readers.

Your own e-reader: Some new e-readers, such as the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes & Noble Nook, give you the ability to lend books to friends directly through the device, similar to a good old-fashioned book exchange. Add friends to your devices, and you can begin trading without fees.

Wikibooks: The founders of Wikipedia have created another site in the spirit of the collaborative encyclopedia. Wikibooks is dedicated to making textbooks available for free and editable by anyone.

Now, you know many ways to download free ebooks, while there are different formats for ebooks; most are commonly in .pdf file format. So, you may need or want to download a program that can read in that format if you don’t already have one, such as Acrobat or Adobe Reader. If you have autocad, you can convert pdf to dwg [1] and then read the book on autocad. And the most popular format for ebook is epub, so, you can convert pdf to epub [2] , then you can read ebook on many different devices, such as an ipad 2, kindle fire and so on.
