Tap Studio 3 free iPhone app review

Tap Studio 3: 4 out of 5

Do you love music? Do you have a substantial amount of songs on your iPod? Do you love Guitar Hero? Then this may be one of the best free iPhone apps [1] out there for you! Let’s face it, there are many games on iTunes available for download these days and I have downloaded way to many to count and way more than would fit on a 16 GB iPhone. It’s hard to find games that stick around for long and ones that actually bring some amount of enjoyment to my life but this is one of them!

There are a few words to describe Tap Studio 3, one of them is awesome and another is completely addicting, okay that was two words! The point is, when you find a game that you love you can’t help but pass along the good news to others, even your sworn enemies.

The object of the game is pretty simple, select a song either one from your own iPod or one from the list of over 300,000 songs and then choose how many rails you’d like to play. Obviously the less rails the easier the game but also the song and the difficulty of the song will also make a huge difference in how easy the game is. You can also select levels, easy, medium and hard.

I have to say that even when it came to Guitar Hero I was a player that left a lot to be desired. It was never easy for me to play that game and this one is also no exception. While the object is simple and it’s not to hard to grasp the concept of there’s something about it that makes it a bit more challenging than even I’d like to admit but isn’t that what makes a great game?

I enjoy the fact that the game isn’t simple to beat and it’s not something that you can easily get tired of playing. The truth is there are so many songs to choose from and so many different variations of the game that you can tap away for years. It’s also great to play with friends. It’s one of those games that you can pull out at a party and everyone in the room will get a kick out of. It’s not shown on your TV screen but it certainly is a crowd pleaser!

What’s even better is that with Guitar Hero you have a theme, or only a few dozen songs to choose from with this app you get so many different songs it’s almost too hard to believe. Another awesome thing is that it’s great for all ages. Even younger children can play this game. Load in a song that they love and let them try to master it. I have small children who can play Tap Studio 3 better than me, how depressing.

Regardless of whether you’re playing by yourself or with your friends and family you will get hours of enjoyment from this free app, what could be better?
