A fight the UFC originally scheduled for this past summer may be featured on their next network television event, as ESPN.com [1] reports that Rashad Evans and Phil Davis will meet at UFC on Fox 2 in Chicago, Ill. on January 28.
The two were scheduled to meet in the main event of UFC 133 in Philadelphia this August, but a knee injury suffered by Davis took him out of the event. Evans then met Tito Ortiz in a rematch of their July 2007 draw, and stopped him by TKO in the second round. The win was his third straight since losing the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship against Lyoto Machida in 2009.
Davis is a perfect 9-0 in his MMA career, including a 5-0 mark in the UFC. The former national champion wrestler out of Penn State most recently defeated Antonio Rogerio Nogueira by decision in March at UFC Fight Night 24.
No bouts for the UFC on Fox 2 card have been officially announced as of yet, but the UFC has confirmed the date and location for their second card on network television.
UPDATE: It should be noted that this fight is also reportedly going to be the headlining fight for this card. It was worthy of a pay-per-view slot, and it's still a good fight for this event as well.

Sorry M-1, but your dreams of co-promotion need to become a thing of the past. Oh the possibilities, if M-1 can be humble, realize its situation and come to the table willing to make a realistic deal with Dana White. Fedor coming to the UFC could be more likely than most would think...
One thing I love about Japanese fans and why I love them the most is that they don't care if you win or lose. All they care is if you have samurai spirit, that you put on a good fight. That's why Japanese fans are my favorite. And American fans are jealous that I say that all the time...
