The Missouri Wine and Grape Board's new iPhone app can guide you to 97 of the state's wineries, can help you select a wine or several and then will let you keep a log of what you've tried and enjoyed.
The wine-and-food-pairing function suggests wines for everything from french fries (Catawba) to Swiss cheese (Vignoles) to grilled swordfish (Chambourcin) to dark chocolate (Norton).
And if you don't know what a Catawba tastes like, the app helps with that too: It's a "medium-bodied, sweet, fragrant, candy-like wine with spicy undertones."
It's available on the App Store or by following this link [1] .
