This year, all that is on offer at the Melbourne International Arts Festival can be found in the palm of your hand. A FREE iPhone app, aimed at streamlining the information process is now available.

Downloadable from the App store the MELBOURNE FESTIVAL APP [1]  has been designed to provide attendees with quick, easy and complete access to the program, tickets, Festival news and more all at the touch of a button.

With over 50 events to choose from, taking in theatre, dance, music, film and visual arts, the app allows  you to browse and search the entire 2011 program by date, genre and all events, get quick ‘one touch’ access to what’s on today, category listings, purchase tickets and keep up to date with the latest Festival news and gossip on Twitter and Facebook.

Designed by acclaimed Melbourne based agency Outware Mobile, the app also enables you to add any of the events to your iPhone calendar, access full program information, pictures, videos and directions via built in Google Maps, and bookmark your favourite performers and events to create a must-see list.

Melbourne Festival led the way in 2009, becoming the first arts company in the city to create an app enabling attendees to stay informed at all times. Now in its 26th year, Melbourne Festival provides the best possible artistic experience to as many people as possible. This year’s Festival takes place from 6 – 22 October.
