DoubleDutch's new app lets users test-drive the startup's technology.

A San Francisco startup promises to improve your workflow and collaboration efforts with a suite of business apps. But if you have an iPhone, you no longer have to take their word for it.
Mobile enterprise startup DoubleDutch [1] recently launched HYVE Public [2] , a free app that lets users share project reports, communicate with colleagues, and post work-related updates directly to social-media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The service stays true to the developer’s theme of “tapping not typing,” allowing users to quickly select from a menu of updates rather than taking the time to type new posts from scratch.
The company, founded in March 2010, launched the free app to demonstrate its mobile technology and lure potential clients to its premium suite of apps [3] , comprised of seven distinct HYVE [4] services launched back in June. Those paid apps work on nearly all mobile platforms, but the new Public offering is available solely for Apple devices.
The launch also arrives five months after the startup’s $1.2 million seed round [5] led by Lightbank, an investment group started by Groupon founders Brad Keywell and Eric Lefkofsky. Among the companies already using HYVE apps are tech giants like Cisco, HP and Adobe .
