iPhone 5 Completly Redesigned, A5 Chip, CDMA, GSM Baseband

Engadget are reporting at the forthcoming iPhone 5 with information they’ve got from a “reliable source”. There sources feel that its on the right track for only a summer release and is also being now tested by Senior Apple officials, strictly on Apple grounds.

They say that the iPhone [1] 5 will be a complete rethink from a design point of things and will be running with Apple’s new A5 processor chip which includes the CPU, GPU and RAM. It will also feature a Qualcomm chipset [2] that covers three different networks in one, CDMA, GSM and UMTS.

This would mean that two separate devices wouldn’t have to manufactured for different networks, however there is no talk of LTE in the works.

A complete redesign would be interesting as the iPhone 4 [3] was a big change on its own from the previous models
