Group calling is not an everyday thing and most of us rarely need to use. it. There is that time however when you are planning your next family vacation and you need to make group calls with all the people travelling. There is also the office situation where you and a group of your colleges need to get on a conference call. This handy little app is fast and super simple to use. The latest tablet out of Cupertino boasts a 2048-by1536 pixel display. To take full advantage of the graphics allowed by this Retina display, apps need new versions of their graphical assets [2] â€"and that means bigger file sizes as apps get updated to add Retina display support for the latest iPad.

But those updates affect owners of older iOS devices as well. After all, you’re downloading the same app that runs on a new iPad, even if you’re using an iPad 2 or (in the case of universal apps) an iPhone. As a result, your 16GB iPhone or iPad may soon start complaining that it’s out of storage space.

When that happensâ€"or when your iPhone refuses to update your apps because it says there’s not enough room to do soâ€"resist the urge to start deleting apps willy-nilly. There are better ways to free up room on your app- and data-packed iPhone.

Meet your Match

If you store a lot of music on your iOS device, and you believe that more storage space is worth at least $25 per year, consider signing up for iTunes Match [3] . With that service, Apple stores your music in iCloud; your entire music library appears on your iOS device, without actually taking up storage space there.

So if you currently store several gigabytes of music on your iPhone, signing up for iTunes Match can free up all that spaceâ€"sort of. iTunes Match on iOS doesn’t actually stream your music; it downloads songs on demand to your device. Once you’ve enabled iTunes Match by signing up in iTunes on your Mac, you can instruct your iPhone or iPad to wipe out its collected store of cached, downloaded songs as needed.

Here’s how: Launch the Settings app, tap on General, and choose Usage. Wait a moment as your iOS device calculates things. Once the list appears, find the Music line item. Now, you can swipe across Music to bring up the Delete button; tap that, and your cached music gets removed. Remember, this won’t impact your ability to enjoy your music on your iOS device. Thanks to iTunes Match, you can keep playing back your music from iCloud whenever you’d likeâ€"this trick just clears out songs iTunes Match downloaded to your device, but you can always get them back again.

Drop a few apps

We said at the outset that you shouldn’t start deleting apps at random when you need to free up space. Instead, you want to delete those apps you use the least, but take up the most space. And if you’re still at the General -> Usage section of the Settings app, your iOS device will make identifying those apps as simple as possible. In fact, the Usage screen lists all of your apps from largest to smallest. If you see, say, GarageBand or iMovie listed at the topâ€"each of which gobbles up more than a gigabyte of storage spaceâ€"and you never use those apps, now might be the time to bid them a fond farewell.

Remember that you can always reinstall those apps, should a need to use them arise. You can access your old, no-longer-installed apps from the App Store app on your iOS device, or using the iTunes application on your Mac (or PC, if that’s how you roll). On an iPad, tap the Purchased tab; on the iPhone, tap the Updates tab and then select Purchased. Then you can tap the Not On This Device tab to see a list of all the apps you don’t have installed, sorted by either name or installation date.

If you use iTunes instead, you get more sorting options. Select the Apps menu item in the iTunes source list, and then search through the apps panelâ€"which sorts all your downloads by name, kind, category, date of original download, and sizeâ€"to find any apps you want to reinstall. Just click on the box next to the app’s name and (if you don’t use iTunes in the Cloud), manually sync your iOS device: The newly selected apps will reappear on your iPhone or iPad as good as new. (Literally, as good as newâ€"when you delete apps from your device, you wipe out any information stored on those apps. So your high score on Angry Birds will be sacrificed in the name of storage space.)

You can delete apps from right within the Usage screen: Tap the name of the app you’d like to remove, and then tap the big Delete App button.

If you look through the Usage list, you might find another line-item: Video. You can’t remove the Video app, but you can remove individual videos you’ve stored there. If you synced a couple movies eons ago and no longer need them, now’s a fine time to remove those, too.

Tracking Women: Now There’s Not An App For That - Digits

Location-based social network Foursquare Labs has cut off access to its technology for an application that made it possible for guys to pinpoint the location of nearby women on a map and view their personal data and photographs.

What really raised privacy concerns about the app â€" unabashedly named Girls Around Me [1] â€" is that the women it tracked hadn’t opted into the service and weren’t made aware this was going on.

Here’s how it worked. The app took information women made public about their location on Foursquare, paired it with photos and personal details those same women made public on Facebook, and then put it all together on a map to show names and faces of women near a user’s location.

“Girls Around Me is the perfect complement to any pick-up strategy,” the app’s website says. “And with millions of chicks checking in daily, there’s never been a better time to be on the hunt.”

You can sort of imagine the idea sounding funny to a basement full of college-age hackers in a coding frenzy sometime after midnight. But in the real world, it felt like stalking. Foursquare determined that the app went too far and cut off its access to its location data.

“The application was in violation of our API policy, so we reached out to the developer and shut off their API access,” a Foursquare spokeswoman said Saturday.

The app’s Russian developer, i-Free Innovations, didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment.

A Facebook spokeswoman said the app is currently inaccessible and pointed to information [2] on how users can make their information private.

The app is still available in Apple’s App Store, but without Foursquare’s support, it doesn’t do anything.

The Girls Around Me fiasco â€" revealed in compelling detail by the Cult of Mac blog [3] â€" comes as app developers are putting effort into blending the online world of social networking with the real world of face to face encounters.

Foursquare itself was an early explorer of this territory and among the most successful. Another start-up, Color, had a brief moment of fame last year after raising millions of dollars to fund its service, which enabled people to see all the photos taken at a particular location, even if they were taken by strangers.

More recently, the South by Southwest conference saw lots of interest in “ambient social networking” apps like Highlight, Sonar and Banjo, all of which let you know about people nearby who share interests or connections with you.

The idea that people might be able to anonymously view a mashup of your personal details and location probably makes a lot of people nervous. You can argue Girls Around Me took the idea over the line by explicitly introducing sex into the mix. But the bigger issue, as artfully explained by Cult of Mac, is that Girls Around Me starkly exposed the amount of information people are sharing about themselves and the sorts of scary scenarios that can come about when that information is pulled together.

Confusing privacy settings on services like Facebook bear some of the blame. But it’s also a case of user beware.

Download Dungeon Hunter 3 for Android Apk Free

In December, Gameloft announced Dungeon Hunter 3 for IOS and Android on the title and published a few days later for the iPhone and iPad on the App Store . Android, however, should follow in January, but was then postponed for now. In Feburary Gameloft then announced that it is aiming for a release in March and just before the month is over, the game ends now finally play in the Google Store.


Gameloft is in Dungeon Hunter 3 for in-app purchases, the game itself is free and only time can actually be played without paying. How it looks with the in-app purchases, then I do not know. The download in Channel Store is 2.8 MB in size, the remaining data is then downloaded to your device later. Hunter looks like Dungeon 3 in action, you can look you in the video after the break.

Get ready for Games of Thrones with these iPhone apps fit for a king - iPhone app recommendations - Dan Kricke

Kings and their struggle for power have been making for great gaming moments for longer than I can remember. Even back as a tyke I remember, very vaguely, checking out the old Intellivision Dungeons and Dragons game and being drawn to the game’s dungeon ruling premise. That battle for power has spread onto the small screen with the second season of HBO’s own medieval power struggle showcase, Game of Thrones, set to begin on April 1. Whether you’re a newcomer to the series or you’ve read all of George R. R. Martin’s books, there are plenty of apps to get you in the mood for the show.

If the previous paragraph made you curious but also made very little sense, there are two apps in particular that are essential to getting a bit of the Game of Thrones fever. The first is the free HBO Go app. As long as you subscribe to HBO on your current cable package, HBO Go lets you watch any of your favorite HBO shows on your iPhone (or laptop or iPad) no matter where you are. It is absolutely fantastic for serious TV viewers, and as a bonus, will allow you to catch up on the episodes you missed in season one in time for season two.

The other app that newcomers might find useful, especially if they’re binge watching the first season of the show, is the Game of Thrones Companion ($2.99). The show is filled with characters â€" kings, queens, former-kings, future-kings and large families â€" spread over numerous continents and it can all be a little overwhelming at first. The Game of Thrones Companion is like having a Wikipedia specifically for the show. Users can see maps of the lands that are discussed on the show, entries on the places mapped and thorough posts on the show’s characters.

More seasoned Game of Thrones fans may be more interested in trying to collect every app associated with the show. While there are plenty available to download, way too many of them are variations on guides or maps of the show. For something a little different there’s Game of Thrones: Ice and Fire (free). Ice and Fire is basically a weather app in a GoT skin. For a show that threatens constantly that “winter is coming,” you’ll know it’s here when the app shows you photos of snowy Westeros landscapes during the chillier months.

There are also plenty of apps that, while not exactly affiliated with Game of Thrones, certainly carry the torch for the fantasy genre that the books and show from which it emerged. Kill the Dragon (free), for instance, would appeal greatly to the enemies of the House Targaryen, whose sigil is a three-headed dragon. The game itself puts the player in control of a dwarf who tries to get rid of dragons by any means necessary over the course of nearly 200 levels. Players can build castles, smash rocks and throw dynamite to try and rid each level of its dragons.

For something with a little more flash to it, there’s Medieval ($0.99) The arcade-style castle defense game lets users choose from a variety of options, including six different troop types and eight unique weapons as they try to defend their castle from the encroaching enemy. The game has four distinct difficulty levels so there should be a challenge for both novice players and those with a little more experience under their gaming belts.

We said at the outset that you shouldn't start deleting apps at random when you need to free up space. Instead, you want to delete those apps you use the least, but take up the most space. And if you're still at the General -> Usage section of the Settings app, your iOS device will make identifying those apps as simple as possible. In fact, the Usage screen lists all of your apps from largest to smallest. If you see, say, GarageBand or iMovie listed at the top--each of which gobbles up more than a gigabyte of storage space--and you never use those apps, now might be the time to bid them a fond farewell.

Remember that you can always reinstall those apps, should a need to use them arise. You can access your old, no-longer-installed apps from the App Store app on your iOS device, or using the iTunes application on your Mac (or PC, if that's how you roll). On an iPad, tap the Purchased tab; on the iPhone, tap the Updates tab and then select Purchased. Then you can tap the Not On This Device tab to see a list of all the apps you don't have installed, sorted by either name or installation date.

If you use iTunes instead, you get more sorting options. Select the Apps menu item in the iTunes source list, and then search through the apps panel--which sorts all your downloads by name, kind, category, date of original download, and size--to find any apps you want to reinstall. Just click on the box next to the app's name and (if you don't use iTunes in the Cloud), manually sync your iOS device: The newly selected apps will reappear on your iPhone or iPad as good as new. (Literally, as good as new--when you delete apps from your device, you wipe out any information stored on those apps. So your high score on Angry Birds will be sacrificed in the name of storage space.)

You can delete apps from right within the Usage screen: Tap the name of the app you'd like to remove, and then tap the big Delete App button.

If you look through the Usage list, you might find another line-item: Video. You can't remove the Video app, but you can remove individual videos you've stored there. If you synced a couple movies eons ago and no longer need them, now's a fine time to remove those, too.

What is does have is pure, intense, unabashedly over-the-top, non-stop action - rendered in fantastic glowing-neon style with fast-paced techno music in the background.

It also has enemies - and plenty of them. They come in various shapes, sizes, and colors, and all are coming for you, one way or another, in an infinite series of increasingly challenging waves to repel. To help you do that, we've included some fittingly over-the-top weapons. Take, for instance, a super-multi-laser bomb, which, when it explodes, shoots thirty-two rotating laser rays in all directions, destroying everything in its path. Or a five-way, triple-bullet blaster firing at an insane 1,000 rounds per second. Or a fast, triple-barrel homing missile launcher, which not only creates a spectacular show of blue trails, but also destroys anyone trying to even get close (or not so close) to you.

And the most surprisingly satisfying part? The enemies explode into lots and lots of pieces with the sound of shattering glass, which somehow irresistibly draws you in to keep going and going until no more hitpoints are left.
