Egnyte [2] is an app by a company [3] of the same name that is designed to be a convenient way to share files and allow for easy group collaboration on projects. Available for free through the iTunes Store, this app is an solid enterprise alternative to other file sharing apps/programs such as Dropbox.
Features:
Egnyte is an app with features that allow for both sharing items with others and for using cloud storage to keep backups of your own private work. While this may sound just like other similar file-sharing programs, Egnyte offers additional features that make it more interesting for enterprise users.
For instance, this app features local storage control and can be easily set to delete files after a certain number of days if desired. Other features include enabling local storage encryption in order to add extra security to some of your work projects or an option for using a simple password lock.
Additionally, Egnyte can be used in an offline mode in order to access any files already stored through it. When using Egnyte myself I was very impressed with the overall processing speed of the app.

Appearance and Layout:
The layout of this app is extremely practical and streamlined. Navigating through the app is perfectly simple, with all icons representing their fairly universally understood meaning (ex: magnifying glass for searching).
In fact, this simple and basic navigational scheme for the app was something I found to be one of its key attributes; I was able to quickly make use of Egnyte without having to spend much time dealing with figuring out my way around it.
While the graphics of Egnyte are kept to a minimum, these graphics are all still well constructed; all fonts and color schemes for the app are aesthetically appealing, and the choices for these within the app really don’t leave any room for complaints.
Value:
Like several other file-sharing apps, Egnyte is a free program that can be quickly installed on your chosen iOS device. While anyone who already regularly uses another file-sharing program might find no reason to switch over to Egnyte, any users who are interested in trying out an alternative to many of the more popular options should be very pleased with what this app has to offer.
Using Egnyte is beautifully simple, and the clean design makes it great for even first time users. Creating new folders and organizing materials is easily done. Finally, the security added through the password-protection is also definitely an appreciated feature.
