If you have ever wanted to play a Street Fighter or Tekken style fighting game on your iPhone or iPad featuring DC comic heroes or villain, today is the day. DC Comics has just released Injustice Gods Among us. It is a Freemium fighting game featuring DC characters like Batman, Wonderman, Lex Luther, Green Lanturn, and even Catwoman.
Injustice Gods Among Us features tag team fighting. With a team of 3 characters you must defeat everyone in the other team to win. Your characters gain experience points after each win. Their health and damage increase as they level up.
The graphics looks pretty good, especially on the newer generation iOS devices. Watching these DC characters unleash combos and special moves is a delight.
The game play a little like a mix between Tekken and Infinity Blade. You’ll be tapping and swiping on the screen to perform regular attacks, but swiping at the right time executes combos and special moves.
Since this is a freemium game, expect to earn or buy points that let you unlock new characters and abilities. It might take you a little while to unlock your first new character (after 30 fights). Each character also requires energy to fight. As expected in any freemium game, you gain energy by waiting or spending real money to continue playing.
