Viber for Android is one of those apps that allows you to send text and multimedia messages for free. The app also supports phone call, so you wonât have to waste your hard earned dollars to reach your contacts. Similar to WhatsApp, Viber is also a multi-platform app. It was initially released for iOS devices but today, Android , Blackberry, and Windows Phone users also have the same privileges.
The current version is 2.3.6.338. Unlike the older version, now Viber also supports sticker and emoticons in the messaging. It runs on the background to enable you reply any messages without getting into the app itself. Seriously, nothing is too complex from this one.
Once you have installed the Viber APK (head to the link after the break for free download) and open it, youâl love to see that no ads cluttering the interface. Best of all it can be downloaded at totally no cost.
One thing to note, though, is that similar to WhatsApp, it utilizes your data plan to function. That would mean even though you wonât be charged for using cellular network, your data plan will still be deduced. Furthermore, although its description page clearly states âwith HD sound qualityâ, the fact of the matter is that the call quality is somehow below the average.
Hopefully, theyâll fix it in the next update. Oh, by the way, the developers also say that they have planned to make the PC version of Viber. Are you getting it? Hit the link below to get your download.
