Well, that can happen. But thereâs an easy solution for that. Follow these suggestions and you could be on your way to free up quite a lot of space on the iPhone or iPad.
Remove Apps
Most of the time, we keep unwanted apps. Apps like games which weâve completed, or apps that weâve used once and donât feel like using again â" the list is endless. Donât keep them.
Head over to the Settings and tap on Usage.
iOS automatically pinpoints apps which use up a lot of space â" and if youâre not very keen on using them, remove them.
One good thing about new Apple policy is, you can re-download the app (if itâs bought/downloaded already on your Apple ID) as many times as you want â" which means even if you removed an app you want later, you can still get it.
Remove Music and Videos You Donât Listen or Watch
The last time I checked my iPhone, I had this huge bunch of music I was always skipping, never playing the songs. May be youâve got such a bunch too which can free up a lot of space. Not just that, but you could try removing videos (usually those HD ones) which occupy a lot of space too.
Photos
This is where most of the memory silently creeps away. While apps are the predominant reason, photos are also one of the other reasons which could help you recover a lot of space. With all the sync and back-up options these days, you can choose to keep just the most important photos on your iPhone or iPad and remove the rest â" or back them up on your PC / Mac.
So there we go. Have you got any ideas that can help someone free-up space on their iPad or iPhone? Do share it here.
