News in brief: Railway through to Neville semis

** Holders Railway Union advanced to the semi-finals of the Neville Cup last Thursday as they came from 2-1 down at half-time to beat a youthful Three Rock Rovers 3-2. Jody Hosking scored after just six seconds and a rare David Storey goal had Rovers ahead at the break but Rob Abbott’s reverse and a sweetly taken, behind the back deflection from Mark English swapped the lead around.

The match also saw Donal O’Mearain return for Railway, playing for the first time since the last Neville Cup final in December 2011 after he moved to Singapore on a work placement.
