Company known for deck of cards style food and drink deals are launching a digital version of deck for iPhone
The popular City Dining cards are getting digital update as the company plans on launching its first iPhone app on July 17th.
Buffalo, NY - The popular City Dining cards are getting a digital update as the company plans on launching its first iPhone app July 17th.
The free app is only available for iOS at this time, but still features all 52 restaurant deals patrons are used to.
"This is going to be the local restaurant app to have in your pocket at all times," Bernice Radle told 2 On Your Side
One feature that will be exciting for users is the ability for your phone to show you the nearest participating restaurant in conjunction to your location.
"We're launching in Baltimore and Buffalo. I'm already working in Pittsburgh, getting ready to work in Detroit and Cleveland, and even more in the future," Bernice said.
Patrick Finan, founder and CEO of City Dining Cards outlined some of their expansion plans.
"We're really trying to expand into 80-100 cities over the next couple of years. Offer the same discounts at locally owned restaurants and serve them up in our app. The app, and the reason we're transitioning into digital - really, we want to have as many users as possible, as many people going to these restaurants and supporting them"
The app also features a reward system for loyal users.
"When a user uses the app more than 12 times in a year, they actually get a $20 gift certificate that they can use at any city dining cards restaurant," Finan said.
This app was made possible after City Dining Cards raised about a million dollars in venture capital funding.
"We're on a great trajectory, we have a great team, we've grown a lot and I think the future is really bright for us."
