Will You Buy an iPhone 6?

To buy or not to buy â€" that is the question. As much as the statement is a certified cliché, it is certainly one of the biggest, if not the biggest question, that has been plaguing the iPhone user community ever since rumors and allegedly leaked pictures of sixth-generation Apple phones began to pop up.

Rumor has it that the iPhone 6 will come it at least two sizes. Foxconn, Apple’s long-time partner, is reportedly making 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions of the very popular smartphone. If these rumors were true, would you take the larger one that definitely distinguishes itself from most iPhone models, or the smaller one that looks more similar to the older models? Let us hear your choice in the poll below:

Putting the rumors aside, we go back and face the ultimate iPhone question this year. Will you avail of the iPhone 6? Is it really that great that you need to get it? These questions and more will be tackled as we give you five reasons to buy and five reasons why you shouldn’t get the iPhone 6. You must, however, take note that the advice that we’ll be tackling are based on only the rumors about the upcoming Apple phone.

5 Reasons to Buy an iPhone 6

1. Too much is never enough. If you’re an Apple fanboy or fangirl and you have been buying each of their products at day one (or week one, just to give it a little allowance), the iPhone 6 is the perfect new addition for your iPhone collection. It still has those looks that makes a phone an iPhone but hey, it’s way better.

2. The rumors about the new iPhone having the faster and better A8 chip as its processor are very loud. And if these rumors are plain truth, then the iPhone 6 will be one heck of a super phone that’s very tempting to resist.

3. You’ll have at least two options when it comes to screen size. There’s going to be 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch versions and who knows? We might get more variations in the iPhone’s sixth generation. Whether you’d opt for the size closer to the usual iPhone size, or a bigger one that accommodates more stuff on the screen, the iPhone 6 can satisfy what you want.

4. The new iPhone is rumored to be coming with a Sapphire crystal screen. Just imagine having your phone’s screen made from the one in the image below.

5. The iPhone’s best camera is yet to come with the iPhone 6. We’ll probably see a 13MP-sensor in the iPhone’s upcoming iteration.

5 Reasons Not to Buy an iPhone 6

The rumored features of the iPhone 6 may already be sweeping you off your feet but take note that there are also cons that you’ll have to consider if you’re deciding whether to buy it or not.

1. Expect the iPhone 6 to have a premium price. For all its features, you should be ready to spend about $1000. Yes. It’s probably going to come out at a thousand bucks.

2. A lot of people are surely wanting to get their hands on the latest iPhone model just like you. Just be careful. You wouldn’t want to get a new but bugged phone that was rushed to meet high demands.

3. The iPhone 6 is rumored to be out September 2014. And if we’re talking about it now, we’ll have to wait it out for a few more months. Good for you if you can wait, but I bet you can’t. And if you have the money now, why wait when you need it now? Grab the current-gen iPhone!

4. The iPhone 6 may be Apple’s best yet, but the iPhone 5s is still a really good phone. Now’s a great time to get it since more and more iPhone 5s deals are coming out. Take for one Best Buy’s free 16GB iPhone 5s (for trade-ins of iPhones 4s and 5) that ran for two days. You get a free iPhone 5s. All free.

5. This last reason why you shouldn’t get an iPhone 6 seems a little out of place but it may be worth mentioning. Your iPhone may be the newest model, with all the newest technology and everything new you could possibly think of. And yes, your iPhone is also the hottest item off of the snatcher’s list. So if you usually go to places prone to incidents of theft, you may have to think twice before you get the newest model. You wouldn’t want all of your thousand bucks going to waste, right? You might even attract the attention of a snatcher who uses chopsticks to get your phone just like the one below:

And those are all the advice we can give you for now. Just remember to think it through before buying your new iPhone. Take time to think about it. Read critics’ reviews and more advice on whether you should really get one. You probably wouldn’t want to regret spending that much to replace your smartphone that’s still 100% up and working just for bragging rights.
