Fotobook [1] is an iPhone iOS application that allows users to view and save their friends Facebook photos. We are selling the full ownership rights to the source code, website, graphics and any additional assets listed below. We suggest downloading the app first and trying it out before making a bid.  We have a "lite" version that is free, so you can test it out without any cost.  

We built Fotobook [2] originally for ourselves so we could download our tagged photos to our computer easily (through our iPhone and iPhoto), but then realized that many people would pay for it. We're currently working full-time on our Video Discovery application, Denso [3]  so we don't have time to promote or work on Fotobook anymore. We think that someone with good marketing skills or solid promotional channels could really make this thing take-off.  We originally launched the application in June 2011 and it is has done well considering we haven't promoted or marketed the application at all.   

This listing includes the iOS source code for both the Paid and Free versions of Fotobook, fotobook graphics, logos, website source code, twitter account, Facebook page, youtube promo video, and API for the Fotobook for Facebook Application. We will also provide up to 5 free hours of consulting to help you get the application setup on the AppStore via email support. Revenue:

Fotobook is a paid application, is approved and is 4+ star rated in the iTunes App Store.  It is currently $2.99, though you can change the price at any time. 

 

Costs:

You will need to provide your own website hosting (there are free hosts, most simple hosting plans are a few dollars a month).  The iPhone application is free to host, but you must have an apple developers license to manage your iTunes Seller Account (one-time $99 fee).  Apple also takes 30% of all sales through the App Store.   

Traffic:

Most of the traffic comes through the App Store listings though we do get some organic traffic for users searching about how to download facebook photo albums.  App Store SEO is black hat, but I have heard some good success stories.

Everything is setup and you will begin making revenue from day 1 as we average a few sales per day.  The ideal buyer has knowledge in SEO, Marketing and App Store rankings and can maximize the downloads and revenue from the application in the App Store.  

It would also be a good purchase for any novice independent developers who are looking to build from a solid foundation and work on an application that is already launched and well received and that is bringing in revenue.

** Notes ** 

  • You will NOT get access or any rights to our iTunes Developer account. You will need your own Apple Development Account ($99 / year) to publish the application and can sell it at whichever price you wish since you'll own it.  
  • We will provide the website and graphics as a zip file. 
  • Once purchased, we will remove our version from the AppStore.  
  • We will provide a purchase agreement contract and bill of sale.  
  • Payment is accepted in Paypal or Wire Transfer.  Payment must be cleared and the purchase agreement and bill of sale executed by both parties before the exchange of assets can begin.
  • There are *no guarantees* and *no warranty* on the performance, stability or sales of the application.  The buyer is responsible for any app updates, maintenance, etc...- There is no return policy.    
  • Support is via email and the gross amount of time spent for support will be communicated at the end of each email reply so the buyer knows how much support time they have remaining. 

Traffic Details

As we do not have statistics for the number of "views" of our App Store listing, we have added the average uniques for the website with the average total number of downloads of both the Free and Paid applications:

** With most App Store listings, your rankings and sales are much higher the first few days after launch.  We also got a few articles and reviews which helped sell some units the first few weeks.  

Downloads have pretty much settled at a consistent (150 / month) for the free app, and (15 / month) for the Paid app at $2.99.
