Did you know that Microsoft has its own note-taking app? Well it does, and itâs called OneNote. The iOS app has been in desperate need of some love for many months, and today Microsoft released version 2 for iPhone and iPad in the App Store. Besides some significant design and functionality tweaks, OneNote is now totally free. You used to only be able to save 500 notes before paying.
From Microsoft:
Today we are proud to announce the new versions of OneNote on iPad, iPhone and Android. Internally, we have been calling them version 2, and we think you are going love all of the new features and functionality available in these updates. A lot of the features are based on your feedback and we look forward to seeing what you have to say about this update.
Formatting has been made to translate across multiple platforms, like iOS to Android. All versions of the app can sync with Office 365, and multiple users can even collaborate to edit one note together.
The infamous Office ribbon has been added to the iPad version of OneNote, which is either a blessing or a curse depending on how you look at it.
And yes, OneNote finally fills the iPhone 5â²s taller display.
OneNote is available on iPhone [1] and on iPad [2] for free in the App Store.
