Record And Broadcast iPhone, iPad Screen Live On The Web

Sharing a screenshot of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch’s screen isn’t a big deal. You take a screenshot, locate the same in the Photos app, hit the bottom left button and share the picture with family and friends. But what if you wish to share the screen with people in real time?

Shou is a new tweak available on Cydia which lets you broadcast your iPhone or iPad’s home screen live on the internet. The setup is pretty simple â€" all you need is the Shou iOS app installed on your device and an internet browser on the computer of the person you want to share the screen with.  Not just live broadcasting, the tweak also saves your broadcasts as recordings which can be accessed later.

Shou can be downloaded for free from BigBoss repo.

Open Cydia, ‘Refresh’ the Changes tab and wait for it to update the package list. Locate Shou and install it. Once installed, you would see the app’s icon on the home screen.

Launch the app and on the first screen you would be asked to create a new account (users can also log in using Facebook). Create an account and tap the ‘Start Broadcasting’ button on the next screen. On hitting the button, a URL will be generated and displayed right below it (in my case it was https://shou.tv/kashishbidsar).

Now note down the URL, enter the same in a browser on your computer and hit enter. The live broadcast would begin immediately and the video will be recorded alongside.

NOTE: In order to access the videos you have broadcasted, you will have to sign into https://shou.tv/USERNAME using the username and password you created on the iOS app.

It is indeed a brilliant app to share your iOS device’s screen in real time with friends, family or even clients. The broadcasts are recorded and saved on the server and one is allowed to access them later. But the best part is the price, which is Zero. Don’t just wait, try this tweak.

The app is also available on Android and can be downloaded from xda-developers.
