Shou is a new tweak available on Cydia which lets you broadcast your iPhone or iPadâs home screen live on the internet. The setup is pretty simple â" all you need is the Shou iOS app installed on your device and an internet browser on the computer of the person you want to share the screen with. Not just live broadcasting, the tweak also saves your broadcasts as recordings which can be accessed later.
Shou can be downloaded for free from BigBoss repo.
Open Cydia, âRefreshâ the Changes tab and wait for it to update the package list. Locate Shou and install it. Once installed, you would see the appâs icon on the home screen.
Launch the app and on the first screen you would be asked to create a new account (users can also log in using Facebook). Create an account and tap the âStart Broadcastingâ button on the next screen. On hitting the button, a URL will be generated and displayed right below it (in my case it was https://shou.tv/kashishbidsar).
Now note down the URL, enter the same in a browser on your computer and hit enter. The live broadcast would begin immediately and the video will be recorded alongside.NOTE: In order to access the videos you have broadcasted, you will have to sign into https://shou.tv/USERNAME using the username and password you created on the iOS app.
It is indeed a brilliant app to share your iOS deviceâs screen in real time with friends, family or even clients. The broadcasts are recorded and saved on the server and one is allowed to access them later. But the best part is the price, which is Zero. Donât just wait, try this tweak.
The app is also available on Android and can be downloaded from xda-developers.
